WE ARE WALKING!
FBCA2 has a long and strong commitment to taking action to help create a better world - and because of that, we've had a long and strong commitment to walking in the Ann Arbor CROP Hunger Walk every year.
This year's Hunger Walk will be virtual, but the need could not be more real: cwsglobal.org/looking-ahead-the-long-term-cost-of-covid-19/
Our neighbors right here in Washtenaw County and around the world are struggling with hunger and poverty. Now more than ever, they need us to come together to make a difference - even while physically apart.
Our Walk Day is Sunday, October 11. There will be a Virtual Send-Off that afternoon at 2:00pm on the Ann Arbor CROP Walk Facebook page. And then our team members will hit the pavement - solo, with our households, or in small (5 people or fewer) groups wearing masks and observing physical distance.
Join our team and walk with us! Register online as part of our team, share the link on social media, and ask for donations to support hunger and poverty relief efforts globally through the work of Church World Service (CWS) and locally through The Breakfast at St. Andrew's, Hope Clinic, Peace Neighborhood Center, Avalon Housing, LOVE Thy Neighbor at First United Methodist Church Ann Arbor, Community Action Network (CAN) of Ann Arbor, Packard Health and Growing Hope!
We're asking everyone who can to help FBCA2 reach these two goals:
1) more meals for the growing number of people who need them in our community, and
2) more food security around the world.
Please donate to our team today to make these goals a reality!
