The BURLINGTON CROP HUNGER WALK is one of more than 900 CROP Hunger Walks organized by CWS Global (https://cwsglobal.org/) in collaboration with local volunteers.

Please help CROP Stop Hunger - join us on October 21, 2018 @ 1:30 p.m. to walk in this year's 2.5 mile CROP HUNGER WALK! The walk will begin and end at the First Congregational Church UCC of Burlington - 38 South Winooski Ave., Burlington, VT 05401.

The Burlington CROP Hunger Walk has raised thousands of dollars over the past 34 years - effectively impacting hunger in Vermont and internationally.  One-fourth of the monies raised in our CROP Hunger Walk works against hunger in our community. In Burlington, the two programs receiving funding are the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf (www.feedingchittenden.org) and J.U.M.P. - the Joint Urban Ministry Project (www.jumpvt.org).

CWS has worked for seven decades with one global goal: building a world where there is enough for all. CWS writes: “We affirm the power of individuals and  communities to take ownership of their future. We meet them right where they are, helping them create solutions they can maintain – and build  on. That means a refugee family who is able to start a new life. Or someone rebuilding after disaster finds safety with dignity.”

Together, we can help end hunger in our community and around the world.
