Castleton CROP Hunger Walk Sunday, October 21
  • Derek Elmi-Buursma

Walk.   Give.   Change the world.

Walkers have reported $1,865 in online and offline gifts!
Find more details here.

Encourage others to sign up for the walk with you so that we can raise more funds for those who are marginalized in life!

On October 21, 2018 we meet at Emmanuel Reformed Church at noon to enjoy a light lunch of sandwiches, dessert and beverages. CROP Walk T-shirts will be handed out to all of the participants. If you forget a water bottle we will have some available. Gentle dogs are allowed as long as they are on a leash. The neighborhood streets of Castleton will have very light traffic, but we are all encouraged to walk single-file against the traffic (on the left-hand side of the road) when cars do approach.

The Anchor Food Pantry in Castleton receives funds from the efforts of this walk. In addition to getting donations from people for the walk, we are each asked to bring in a few canned or dry goods and /or personal hygiene items to help supply the pantry. The items will be delivered to The Anchor at the beginning of the walk where you can take a tour and see the efforts of volunteers and The Anchor Manager.

We will then start the walk. Maps will be handed out to show the route. For those who are not able to go the 3.2 miles, there will be a 1 mile loop marked on the map. We will walk regardless of the weather, but are praying now for a beautiful day!

Thank you in advance for your willingness to participate by walking and/or donating to this great event.

Together, we can help end hunger in our community and around the world!
