Chapel Hill/Carrboro CROP Hunger Walk Sunday, March 24

We're fighting hunger together!

Chapel Hill Zen Center

Join Chapel Hill Zen Center for the 32nd Annual Chapel Hill/Carrboro CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday, March 24th.

Bring your family and friends, and enjoy an afternoon of games, educational activities, and music before you embark on the walk, which begins and ends at the Carrboro Town Commons, 301 W. Main Street in Carrboro.

Registration begins at 1:30 PM, a pre-walk rally is at 2 PM, and the walk through downtown begins at 2:30 PM.

25% of the funds raised stay in the Carrboro-Chapel Hill area to support the hunger-relief programs of the Inter-Faith Council for Social Services (IFC). The Church World Service, established in 1947, will use the remaining funds for emergency food supplies, agricultural training, livestock, wells and pumps, farm seeds, and farm equipment in both the U.S. and globally.

You can sign up here and make a donation through this site if you wish. You can also donate via cash or check at the Zen Center. For more information visit http://www.chzc.org/events.htm#walk, or contact me at tmwst01@gmail.com.

Together, we can help end hunger in our community and around the world!
