Chelsea/Dexter Area CROP Hunger Walk Sunday, October 6
Edit in profile section

I'm helping to end hunger! I will walk. Will you walk with me?

Barbara Locks

1969 was a momentous year for the world and for me personally. I watched first Moon Walk. I started dating my husband. I participated in the UN/Washington Peace Seminar, in New York City and Washington, D.C., learning about world hunger and the efforts of the United Nations and Church World Service. I graduated from Dexter High School and continued my education at Eastern Michigan University. And 1969 marked the first ever CROP Hunger Walk.

For 50 years, the CROP Hunger Walk has been organizing communities to fight hunger and poverty at home and around the world.

Thank you to Cindy Strang, State Farm in Dexter, for your generous donation!
