Food insecurity has increased greatly for many people in our community and around the world. Right now, we have neighbors struggling to buy food for themselves and their families.
Together, we are helping to address this urgent need.
Please join us in participating in the Northwest Connecticut CROP Hunger Walk, now in it's 37th year.
This year's 5 mile walk will be virtual. You may walk any time on your own during the week of September 21 - 27th.
Or join one of our socially distanced walks:
-Saturday, September 26th, starting at Christ Church in Sheffield at 10am.
-Wednesday 23rd at 4:30 pm starting at the Ashley Falls village green across from the post office.
Not able to walk? YOU can still help by sponsoring a walker or making a donation.
Last year the Crop Walk raised almost $40,000 to fight hunger both globally and locally. Twenty-five percent of that total stayed in our community and went directly to local food pantries in the tri-state area.
This year, the goal is to raise $45,000.
We hope you are able to participate. The steps we take - and the funds we raise - make a real impact!
