Help us celebrate CROP’s Golden 50th Anniversary of walks to end hunger and poverty and promote peace and justice, with registration and kick-off events at 1:30 PM and the Walk at 2 PM. A 2.6 mile route on the historic, picturesque neighborhood streets of Freehold (marked and open until 4 PM) or the 1/10 of a mile mini-route circling the church may be chosen. Maps provided at sign-in. Hoagies, pastries and water will be available.
All free-will offerings accepted for refreshments are added to our pledges. Please try to turn in pledges and donations of soup, rice, beans, peanut butter and pet food at sign-in. You are encouraged to register and gather pledges here, on-line. Givers may designate donations through tax-exempt agencies related to their faith group. Every walker with pledges receives a t-shirt.
Pets can also raise money for world hunger and are welcome walkers on a leash. Register your pet walker here and/or email your Pets Ending World Hunger Photo Contest picture to firstname.lastname@example.org. by October 15th. Contest entrance fee is $15.00. Vote for the prize-winner on the day of the walk!
The walker with the highest pledge total becomes our honored Walk Marshal and leads the walk through the balloon arch starting line. The youth under 21 with the highest pledge total wins a prize. The team with the greatest number of walkers with pledges receives the 2019 Most Walkers Gilded Sneaker Trophy. The team with highest pledges received by November 20 receives the 2019 Top Fundraising Gilded Sneaker Trophy. 25% of the money raised ($7500+ in 2018) is shared with local charities that fight hunger and poverty.

CROP walker donation envelopes and promotional materials are also available for pick-up at Hope Lutheran Church, 211 Elton Adelphia Road, (Route 524 between Jackson Mills Road and Freehold Township High) Freehold Township, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 79 One Mile Road Extension, East Windsor, Tuesday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM beginning September 10th.
Some congregations without walkers or with calendar conflicts collect pledges for a “Flat Stanley” of their clergy person, teacher or group leader. Others take donations and give out Freehold CROP Walk canvas shopping bags.
