Walk.   Give.   Change the world.

Our community believes in ending hunger. And, in 2020, we will continue to fight against the new challenges of disease and disaster that leave people hungry. Join with us in raising funds to help neighbors near and far get the meals they need this year.

Walkers have reported $39,442.72 in online and offline gifts!

We’re Going Virtual
By doing a virtual CROP Hunger Walk together but separate we can continue to help the poor and hungry, keep others safe, and keep ourselves safe. The CROP Hunger Walk may be Virtual, but the need could not be more real. Here’s why

How should you prepare?
1) Register yourself (and your team if you are Team Captain*) from this page! (*Each registered Team will receive $50 credit for their fundraising – limit one per congregation).
2) Like us on Facebook
3) Invite people to walk with you and/or donate – it would be great if you started NOW.
4) Connect with other CROP Hunger Walkers locally and across the country on multiple platforms by using  #VirtualCROPHungerWalk
Find more information on how to be successful and help our vulnerable neighbors here.

Virtual Rally – two options
Tuesday August 18 @ 7:00 p.m. or Thursday August 20 @ 3:00p.m. via ZOOM
Join us on ZOOM as we discuss this coming year's Walk, give important information on how a Virtual Walk works and hear from one of our local agencies. We will record the Tuesday program for watching later.
Drive-Thru Packet Pick-up
Saturday, August 22 from 9am-12pm
Swing through the Okemos Community Church parking lot (4734 Okemos Rd., Okemos, MI 48864) to pick-up your packet of materials for this year's CROP Hunger Walk. These will be scaled back due to the nature of this year's event, but each packet will have the Team Captain Information Sheet, Donation Envelopes, posters, youth challenge information (and other materials by request).
A pre-recorded “Walk Day” Kick-Off will be made available for your use at a time of your choosing beginning October 1. It will include a message from Walk Coordinator Bob Barnhart and a prayer.
Wear a CROP Hunger Walk T-Shirt, cap, or other apparel if you have it. Carry a Crop Hunger Walk sign or use a cute little CROPwick found here
WALK! Walk around your block, walk around your neighborhood, walk in a local park, or simply walk around your living room! You can walk individually or with your team (if walking with your team, please observe proper social distancing, mask wearing and limit the number of individuals to around 10 or whatever maximum number is permitted by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services at that time – which may require your team to walk in a couple of groups).
SHARE YOUR PHOTOS! We want to see YOU and YOUR TEAMMATES! Share your photos with us by posting them to our Facebook page, Facebook event or email them to RLB2335@outlook.com.

We are still walking together, even though we're physically apart and we want to be able to share that with our community!
Together, we can help end hunger in our community and around the world.
