Giving. Sharing. Caring! These attitudes enrich our own lives as well as
those in great need.Church World Service's (CWS) ecumenically supported CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events that awaken us to the needs beyond ourselves and bring people together in a common mission to raise funds to provide long lasting solutions to hunger. Together we can do amazing things, like to establish community gardens, fund small business loans, provide livestock to struggling farmers and much more!
This year my daughter started work as a director of education in Myanmar, and I just learned that the CROP Walk will help with educational programs in rural Myanmar. I'm now even more excited to be part of this and would love to have you join me on this journey.
The funds we raise will make a real impact! 20% of what we raise is used locally, given to Hill Country Community Ministries. The CWS administrative costs are among the lowest in the nation because they fund-raise by church volunteers who invite others to donate rather than paying for expensive ads.
Please be generous yourself and if you are willing and able join us by walking 2 miles on April 19. More importantly, invite others to support this fight against hunger.
