Local agencies benefitted include Catholic Charities, We Care of Los Alamitos, Urban Community Outreach, Lutheran Social Services, Su Casa Family Crisis & Support Center, and Christian Outreach in Action (COA).

There will be a FOOD TRUCK there from 1 to 3pm with free lunch for all Walkers who are registered for the Walk, affordable cost for non-walkers.

All Walkers with $150 in pledges will get a free T-shirt. Pets are allowed, but no ""recreational wheels"" like roller skates, inline skates, bicycles, etc.

Wheelchairs are allowed and can negotiate the 5K route which is on normal city streets. Runners start first at close of 2:15 Pep Rally. All Walkers and attendees are urged to bring CANNED GOODS for the ""Broken Loaf Food Pantry"" at Lakewood First United Methodist Church.

The walk route is flat and will take place on a Sunday afternoon, probably in the adjacent cities of Long Beach and Lakewood.
