Please join us in raising funds to fight hunger, made so much more acute by COVID. The pandemic has increased hunger enormously here and around the world. The New York Times tells us that "the number of people living with life-threatening levels of food insecurity is expected to double this year to 265 million."
Here on Martha's Vineyard our Food Pantry has seen food insecurity double since March. Remember that 25% of the funds raised stay on Martha's Vineyard to support local hunger programs.
Our walkers will be walking alone or in small groups to keep everyone safe. While the Walk is usually a one-day event, this year we are calling it a Walk-A-Thon and are walking when we can from October 1-18.
This is the 30th CROP Walk on Martha's Vineyard, and our goal is to raise at least $30,000! There is a friendly competition between teams to see who can raise the most. We walk for our church, First Congregational Church of West Tisbury, and we'd love your help to send the team to the top!
