Join Me - Still Walking and Still Fighting Hunger

Woody Bowman

I’ve had a long history with CROP Walks and other efforts to fight hunger. Addressing hunger has been a significant part of Susie’s and my response to the social needs of our community and our world - as followers of Jesus Christ we feel a special concern for this. My hope is that my efforts will help enable others have the security of knowing they will have the food they need to live and thrive.

CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events that bring people together in a common mission: helping hungry people at home and around the world. I’ve been part of the Organizing Committee for the Martha’s Vineyard CROP Hunger Walk for nine walks, but this year, of course, our Walk will be different – a Walk-A-Thon from October 1 – 18, walking together apart. So, yes, I’ll be walking during that period of time, maybe with just Susie or maybe with a small pod, and I’ll be seeking to raise at least $2,000. I’d really appreciate it if you’d consider supporting my participation in this year’s MV CROP Walk-A-Thon with a contribution – and maybe we can also figure out a way in which you can walk “with” me wherever you are.

Last year, the MV CROP Walk raised a best-ever $34,764, and I was grateful to receive $2,007 in donations from family and friends. Please join me in support of the 30th annual Martha's Vineyard CROP Hunger Walk as we work to end hunger one step at a time.
