Northfield CROP Hunger Walk Sunday, October 29

We're fighting hunger together!

The Church Of St. Dominic

We are thrilled to be the host for this year's CROP Hunger Walk. Note: Fr. Denny recommends using cash or check in order to make sure our proceeds go to CRS.

From Fr. Denny:
The walk will begin at 3pm with sign-in at 2:30pm, a bit later than in previous years to allow members of our parish Hispanic community to join in the walk after the Spanish Mass and a quick lunch. There will be tasty Mexican foods available for sale in the social hall following the Mass around 1:45pm. Proceeds will go to support earthquake recovery in Mexico. All are welcome, so come and join us for lunch before the walk.

Northfield is one of over 1,000 cities and towns across the United States taking part in Crop Hunger Walk organized each year by Church World Service (CWS). Of the money raised, 25% stays right here in Northfield to support the various programs of the Community Action Center.

While the remaining 75% raised by other churches will be distributed through Church World Services, that portion raised by St. Dominic Parish will go to Catholic Relief Services, the official overseas relief and development agency of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and a member of Caritas International.
