The CROP Hunger Walk is a cause that is very important to me. I am walking and raising funds because I believe we should feed hungry people here at home and around the world. For many years my mother and father ran a soup kitchen on the west side of Chicago that benefited greatly from this annual walk.
CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events that bring people together in this common mission to raise funds to provide permanent solutions to hunger. I know that together we will do amazing things like establish community gardens, fund small business loans, provide livestock to struggling farmers and much more!
I'm excited to be part of this and would love to have you join me on this journey. Because of Covid-19, I'll be walking 10K by myself on Sunday, not with a group. The steps we take - and the funds we raise - will make a real impact!
