Sunday, October 6, 2 p.m.

Over 800 million people in the world are hungry. 12% of US families face food insecurity.

You – or your family, business, scout troop or other organization—can help by participating in the Vienna Hunger Walk. You can walk yourself, obtain sponsors, join a team, form your own team, or donate.

Three-fourths of the funds raised goes to Church World Service (a hunger relief nonprofit), and one-fourth goes to Vienna’s Committee for Helping Others (CHO), which provides a food pantry and emergency assistance to local residents.

The Walk will move through Vienna for about 3 miles, stopping at CHO on Park Street (exact route is being determined).

ATTEND THE GLOBAL HUNGER BANQUET: As part of the CROP Walk event, on Saturday, September 21, the Church of the Holy Comforter, 543 Beulah Road, will be sponsoring a Global Hunger Banquet to help educate participants about the human side of global hunger. More information will be available on the Vienna Crop Hunger Walk website closer to the event.

Together, we can help end hunger in our community and around the world!
